Beautiful Wedding Inspiration for the Mountain Bride

The blue sky sunny days of August are beyond perfect for a Banff wedding and today we're sharing in the beauty of a perfect summer wedding with Banff photographer, Photoflow. April and Paul travelled to Banff five years earlier and immediately fell in love with the lush greenery and amazing rocky mountains, and as the little mountain town stole their hearts, they knew Banff would one day be the location of their wedding.

Five years later, April and Paul stood beneath the towering peaks of Banff's iconic mountains as they said "I do" in front of their closest family and friends on a perfect sunny day in August. They chose to get married at the beautiful Tunnel Mountain Reservoir where they could take in all of the natural beauty of the area that they had fallen so in love with five years earlier. The had a traditional wedding with the men in tuxedos and the bride in a beautiful champagne lace wedding gown. They tied in many wedding traditions such as custom lace wedding shoes with blue soles for April's "something blue", she added in some of her mother's silk wedding flowers into her bouquet as her "something borrowed." April joked that her father, who walked her down the aisle, was her "something old," and of course her wedding dress was her "something new".

After the Banff wedding ceremony the couple headed out with their Banff wedding photographer, Photoflow to take in the beauty of the mountains and capture portraits of just the two of them. They headed out to the beautiful shores of Lake Minnewanka and took in the beauty of the meadows at Mt. Norquay and the amazing views of Banff.

Finally the beautiful new couple headed back to the lodge at Mt. Norquay where they celebrated with their guests while overlooking the mountain peaks and dining on the most delicious food. The beautiful timber  frame of the lodge set the perfect atmosphere for their rustic chic wedding.
