I know no one wishes for rain when they have their engagement session or wedding planned, but I have to admit that I really love the rain, especially in the mountains. There is something incredible about the clouds that hug the rocky peaks and circle through the mountains on a rainy day that makes everything look mystical and surreal. And a warm rain in the summer is so refreshing and makes every colour incredibly vibrant. So what do you do when it rains on your engagement session? If you ask me, you don't reschedule but you embrace it!
When Kingdom Come Photography sent us this photo shoot taken in Canmore in the middle of a downpour I was absolutely floored by the beauty and drama of each photo. It doesn't take much to see that without the rain these photos wouldn't have been nearly as incredible. There is so much beauty and such a unique persepective in the rain, if you're willing to get out and get wet.
Embracing the rain will also make your engagement session more memorable, it will definitely be an event that will stand-out in your memory. Dancing and laughing in the rain is exhiliarating, no matter how cold you are or how much your makeup runs, the day can be more incredible than a hundred sunny days put together.
